								| 1 | can | (15 oz.) apricot halves in juice, drained, juice reserved |

								| 2 | sticks | cinnamon, broken in half |

								| 6 | whole | cloves |

								| 2 | tablespoons | sugar | 
						
							|

								| 1 | teaspoon | butter or margarine |

			Directions:
			Combine reserved juice from apricots with spices, sugar and butter in a saucepan.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.  
Puree apricots in blender and add to saucepan.  Remove cinnamon sticks and cloves.  Heat thoroughly.  If desired, thicken mixture with a little cornstarch.
